Text: John 4:24 (ESV)
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

Main Message

-
As New Testament believers, the way we worship God has changed, not because God changed or has changed His mind.

-
God is Spirit
-
John is not telling us that God is “a spirit” but he said “God is spirit.”
-
God’s nature is spirit, they same way that God is love, and God is light, God is spirit.
-
God is spirit allows him to be omnipresent, that God is everywhere and present.
-

-
Worship in Spirit
-
Our worship must be spirit-driven and spirit-centered. Our worship must be spirit enabled and spirit led.
-
We need the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God in order to worship God in spirit.
-

-
Worship in Truth
-
To worship in truth means to worship God whole heartedly, it must be genuine and without conditions.
-
God hates insincere worship.
-
Reflection Questions:

-
What does it mean that God is Spirit? Did it change your perspective of God?
-
All worshippers are not all true worshippers. What ways can you be a true worshipper?
-
Are you worshipping God in spirit and in truth? Write down what you need to do in order for your worship to be acceptable to God.
